The Canadian Security Intelligence Service created a national burial site for its employees at Beechwood Cemetery. The intelligence service and a society representing many former spies had approached Beechwood about reserving part of the venerable resting place for CSIS members and their families.

All current and former employees, regardless of their job classification, are eligible for burial in the CSIS cemetery.  Similar to the Canadian Forces and the RCMP, the men and women of CSIS wish to have a national memorial site where they and their family members can be laid to rest with colleagues.
